Celebrate Earth Day
Join The Sanneh Foundation and the Conway community as we celebrate Earth Day together. We are expecting 250 to 300 community members to gather for an afternoon of gardening, sports, and wellness activities in the park.
Spending time outdoors supports our mental, physical, and spiritual well being. By connecting with our community through nature, we can learn how to care for the land while also caring for ourselves.
Throughout the event there will be gardening demonstrations, a wellness fair, and we are hoping to have a local sports team lead a short sports demonstration for youth and families.

Volunteer Shifts Please sign up for the shift that works best for you.
All shifts begin with a 30 minute park clean up, followed by event support.
Event Set Up Support
Time: 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM
Volunteers Needed: 4
Help staff get everything ready for the event before guests arrive. You will help set up tables, prepare activity and demonstration areas, and organize supplies so the event can run smoothly.
Park Clean Up and Event Support Shift 1
Time: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Park Clean Up and Event Support Shift 2
Time: 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Volunteers for both of these shifts will start by helping with a park clean up and then transition into supporting the event and welcoming community members.
Volunteers will help with:
Checking in guests
Greeting and directing community members
Supporting the raffle table
Assisting with either the gardening demos, sports activities, and the wellness fair
Two separate demonstrations will take place at 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM and will focus on urban gardening and gardening activities for kids.
Help with event tear down
What to Wear:
Please wear comfortable clothing and closed toed shoes. This is an outdoor event.
Inclement Weather Plan:
Event will be held inside at the Gym
This is a great event for individuals, families, and groups who want to spend time outdoors and connect with the community.
