To support the increased need in our community and to ensure that we are able to meet community members where they are at, our Friday Corcoran Park food distribution is shifting to a box distribution for the new few weeks. We will still need volunteers to help on Fridays, but we have an additional need to help box packing on Thursdays.
Volunteers are needed to help pack food boxes at the Sanneh Warehouse
Shift Details:
WHERE: Sanneh Warehouse – 2323 Snelling Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55404. Enter through the front door.
WHEN: Thursdays
TIME: 1:30-3:30
Parking: Street parking only. Park on Minnehaha or on 24th Street to the east of Minnehaha. Please be aware of parking restrictions, especially winter parking restrictions. Carpooling is recommended.
Dress Code: Comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes required.
Note: This is an indoor opportunity that may involve lifting.
Volunteer Tasks:
Sorting and organizing food items
Packing items into boxes Stacking filled boxes on pallet(if able to lift up to 15 lbs.)
You will be standing for most of the shift, but accommodations can be made for seating if needed.
